Despite the immense strength of the Earth Guardian, it moves at a reasonably slow pace. With a leap spell, it is possible to outrun the Earth Guardian and move out of its aggro range. It is best to face the Earth Guardian with Mage Armour and a couple of Greater Mana Potions to prevent the armour from draining all your mana. Use leap spells to dodge attacks from the Earth Guardian, healing spells to heal any severe wounds, and a cheap Fire Damage spell to deal damage to the Earth Guardian. Avoid melee combat as swords do little to no damage. As a note Earth Guardian is also fireproof, so Ignition or Fire Aspect will deal no damage. You  can use diminished casting to conserve mana as you may find your armour draining most of your mana to repair itself.

Upon summoning, the Earth Guardian will carve out a 21 by 6 square centered one block above the chiseled stone block as to not break the iron inlays or vineum torches. All the blocks and ores in this area are broken and dropped as items(which for most people causes crazy lag, so make sure to have a good/not-so-laggy computer first).
The Earth Guardian also has a small chance of dropping its chestplate upon death, also known as [[Boss Drops|Earth Armour]]. The Earth Armour is a chestplate which grants the player an immediate 16 armour points or 8 chestplate icons. Punching an enemy with an empty hand will also deal 2.5 hearts of damage instead of the usual 0.5. The Earth Armour has an overall durability of 3200.

Earth Guardian

Formed out of a core of stone, the Earth Guardian is a hardy opponent that can withstand incredible amounts of physical attacks. With whirling attacks and the strength of the earth itself, be prepared for a fight.

Recommended Level: 25

Summoning

Earth guardian summoning

You will need:

  • 8 Obsidian blocks
  • 1 Chiseled stone brick
  • 4 Vinteum torches
  • 8 Iron inlays
  • 1 Chimerite (consumed)
  • 1 Emerald (consumed)
  • 1 Blue topaz (consumed)

The Earth guardian is summoned by placing a 3 by 3 ring of iron inlays on top of a 3 by 3 platform of obsidian, with chiseled stone brick in the center, and one vinteum torch to each side of the inlay. Throw a chimerite, a blue topaz and an emerald(in that order) into the middle of the ring to summon the Earth Guardian.

Upon summoning, the Earth Guardian will cleave out a large area of the surrounding blocks, including resistent blocks like obsidian, so it would be wise to summon it outside of your base (unless you have bedrock walls).
