Despite the immense strength of the Earth Guardian, it moves at a reasonably slow pace. With a leap spell, it is possible to outrun the Earth Guardian and move out of its aggro range. The Earth Guardian is one of Ars Magica 2's bosses. Similar to all other bosses from this

Earth Guardian

mod, the Earth Guardian is linked to an element and does not spawn naturally, but must be summoned by a ritual. It is usually the second boss the player will fight, with a recommended magic level 25 for combat. It has 140 health points, or 70 hearts of health.

Earth Guardian

Formed out of a core of stone, the Earth Guardian is a hardy opponent that can withstand incredible amounts of physical attacks. With whirling attacks and the strength of the earth itself, be prepared for a fight.

Summoning

You will need:

  • 8 Obsidian blocks
  • 1 Chiseled stone brick
  • 4 Vinteum torches
  • 8 Iron inlays
  • 1 Chimerite
  • 1 Emerald
  • 1 Blue topaz


The Earth guardian is summoned by placing a 3 by 3 ring of iron inlays on top of a 3 by 3 platform of obsidian, with chiseled stone brick in the centre, and one vinteum torch to each side of the inlay. Throw a chimerite, a blue topaz and an emerald(in any order) into the middle of the ring to summon the Earth Guardian.

Upon summoning the Earth Guardian will carve out a 21 by 6 square centered one block above the chiseled stone block as to not break the iron inlays or vineum torches. All the blocks and ores in this area are broken and dropped.

Upon summoning, the Earth Guardian will cleave out a large area of the surrounding blocks,including strong blocks like obsidian, so it would be wise to summon it outside of your base.

Like any other beginning boss, on defeat it will drop a blue infinity orb, or an earth essence. There is a rare chance of dropping the Earth Armour
